What to Expect During Your Time at a Little Peach ABA Evaluation
Please note: before scheduling an evaluation, a formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is required. This allows our clinical team to move forward with the assessment and insurance authorization process to provide your child the best care possible.

Step 1: Behavioral Skills Assessment
Once your family arrives, your child will meet with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a comprehensive behavioral skills assessment. This assessment is child-led and play-based to help your child feel comfortable while allowing the BCBA to observe strengths, skill levels, communication, social interaction, and areas of need.
Each assessment is individualized to the learner and may last anywhere from 1–3 hours, depending on the child’s needs and tolerance.
Step 2: Parent Onboarding & Paperwork
While your child is completing the assessment, parents or caregivers will complete onboarding paperwork and review the parent handbook. This helps families become familiar with our policies, procedures, and therapy approach.
Step 3: Parent Interview
After the assessment is completed, the BCBA will meet with parents or caregivers for an interview to gather additional background information, discuss concerns, and learn more about the child’s daily routines, behaviors, and developmental history.
Step 4: Treatment Plan Development
Following the evaluation, the BCBA will develop an individualized treatment plan tailored specifically to your child’s needs. The treatment plan includes goals for skill acquisition and behavior reduction based on the results of the assessment and parent interview.
Step 5: Insurance Authorization
Once completed, the treatment plan is submitted to your insurance provider for review and approval. After authorization is received, our team will contact you regarding next steps for beginning services.
