What to Expect During Your Time at Little Peach's ABA Therapy
We know that the world of ABA therapy can be a lot to digest. Our hearts beat for the betterment of the families we serve, and that starts with ensuring you feel supported and educated every step of the way regarding your child's care.

ABA Scheduling Options
We offer two different ABA therapy scheduling options based on each learner’s individual needs and medical necessity:
-
Morning Program: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM or 8:00 AM–2:00 PM (5–6 hour sessions)
-
Afternoon Program: 2:00 PM–5:00 PM or 3:00 PM–5:00 PM (2–3 hour sessions)
All ABA sessions are provided in a one-on-one setting with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) delivering direct therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
The number of therapy hours recommended for each child is determined after the initial evaluation and is based on medical necessity. Therapy hours cannot be assigned prior to the assessment process.

Our Therapy Approach for ABA
Our therapy sessions are rooted in compassionate, assent-based care. We believe therapy should be a positive and supportive experience where children feel safe, respected, and motivated to learn. We prioritize building trusting relationships with each learner by following their interests, honoring communication, and creating meaningful opportunities for engagement throughout the day.
Our approach is child-led and play-based, allowing learning to happen naturally through activities that are motivating and enjoyable for each child. By incorporating play, movement, social interaction, and everyday routines into therapy, we help learners develop skills in ways that are functional and meaningful to their daily lives.
Every treatment plan is individualized to the learner’s unique strengths, needs, and goals. Skills are broken down into manageable steps and taught at a pace appropriate for the child while celebrating progress along the way. Therapy goals may target areas such as:
-
Communication and language development
-
Social and peer interaction skills
-
Emotional regulation and coping strategies
-
Daily living and independence skills
-
Play and leisure skills
-
School readiness and classroom behaviors
-
Safety awareness and community skills
ABA-Teaching Strategies We Use to Provide Evidence-Based Care
Discrete Trial Training (DTT)
Discrete Trial Training is a structured teaching method used to introduce and strengthen new skills. Skills are taught in small, achievable steps with clear instruction, prompting, and positive reinforcement. This approach helps learners build foundational skills while allowing therapists to track progress closely and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Natural Environment Teaching (NET)
Natural Environment Teaching focuses on learning through play, routines, and naturally occurring opportunities within the child’s environment. Skills are practiced in real-life situations to encourage generalization and independence. This approach helps children apply what they learn across settings, people, and activities in a more meaningful way.
-
By combining structured teaching with naturalistic learning opportunities, we create balanced therapy sessions that are engaging, effective, and individualized. Our goal is not only to teach new skills, but also to help children gain confidence, increase independence, and develop meaningful ways to communicate and interact with the world around them.
-
We also focus on teaching functional coping skills and appropriate replacement behaviors to reduce challenging behaviors in a supportive and respectful manner. Rather than simply decreasing behaviors, we work to understand the function behind them and teach safer, more effective ways for children to communicate their wants, needs, and emotions.
-
Collaboration is an important part of our therapy model. Families, BCBAs, RBTs, and any additional providers work together to ensure consistency across environments and to support each learner’s continued growth and success both in therapy and at home.
Through this approach, we work on skill acquisition, communication, social development, coping strategies, behavior reduction, and teaching meaningful replacement behaviors that support long-term success and independence.
Does Your Child Need Additional Services?
At our clinic, we offer a collaborative approach to therapy by providing multiple services in one location. Services may include Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), Speech Therapy (ST), and Feeding Therapy (FT).
Please note that each area of service requires a separate referral from your child’s physician. A referral for one service does not automatically apply to other therapies.
Once your child has received the appropriate referrals and completed evaluations for each recommended service, they may qualify to receive multiple therapies within our clinic. This integrated approach helps reduce the need for families to travel between different therapy locations, creating a more convenient and consistent experience for both children and caregivers.
During co-treatment sessions, therapists such as the OT, SLP, or PT may work with your child while they are participating in ABA services. Your child’s Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) remains present during these sessions to support participation, assist with behavior strategies, and promote collaboration between all providers. This team-based approach allows therapists to work together toward shared goals while supporting your child’s overall development across multiple areas of need.
