I received my B.S. in Communication Disorders from Auburn University (War Eagle) and my M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Alabama. I am a native of this area. I grew up on a small farm in Marbury. During my free time, I can be found with my husband, Josh and my toy poodle named Penelope! We enjoy hiking, traveling, and spending time with family on Lake Martin. I am excited to be a part of the Little Peach Feeding and Speech team and the opportunity to service the families in the area! |

Debbie Smith, OTR/L Occupational Therapist Hey everyone, I’m Debbie. I joined the expanding team at Little Peach a year ago after moving to the Auburn area from Georgia. I have been a pediatric OT for nearly 30 years after graduating from Florida A&M University’s second graduating class of Occupational Therapists! I have lots of great memories as an OT and have especially loved opportunities I have had when working to develop and expand rural health services in several different states including GA, FL, KY, and IL. I have been blessed to work with talented and dynamic therapists in the fields of PT, OT and ST and love the team approach to therapy. I have 3 grown children, one grandson and another grandbaby on the way! I have a lifelong habit of rescuing shelter animals which I am now limiting myself to just the 3 that I currently have. In my free time, I like to travel, “home” if at all possible, back to Central America or just to the coast is fine as well. My hobbies include camping, ka”yak”ing, spending time with my family and serving at church.

Meredith Peterson, M.S. CCC-SLP Speech-Language Pathologist Hey y'all, I'm Meredith - a certified Speech Language Pathologist. I received my Bachelors of Science in communication disorders from Auburn University and my Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Memphis. My husbands career as a USAF pilot has taken us to over 8 states where I have worked as a speech-language pathologist in a variety of settings including acute in-patient hospital, out-patient hospital and skilled-nursing facilities. When not at work, I love all things outdoors: skiing, backpacking, rock climbing, and camping adventures. I have 4 kids (2 boys, 2 girls) who have made me who I am today. My youngest son having his own speech sound disorder has sparked a passion in me for coming along side other families with similar issues to provide not only tools for communication, but support and most of all hope. |
